How The Loop Works

We buy, trade, and sell gently-used pieces to reduce waste, support our community, and make sustainable shopping simple.

Think of our process like an infinity-loop: what you bring in helps someone else, and what they bring in may become your new favorite find.

A circular system built on second chances.

FAQs

  • The Loop aims to stock unique, high-quality items that are harder to find at donation-based thrift stores. We carefully inspect each item for condition and will accept out-of-season items that align with our preferred brands and styles.

We accept children’s clothing in sizes newborn to 12 years, women’s clothing in all sizes, and select men’s styles (e.g. vintage and graphic t-shirts, vintage denim, and outerwear.)

  • Yes! Selling by drop-off is permitted. Please note, we only offer cash pay-outs for items we intake from drop-offs. You will receive your cash total via Zelle and a record of items we purchased will be kept on file. Any items purchased become property of The Loop and will not be available for exchange or return.

If you are dropping off, you must return within 7 days to claim your remaining things. After 7 days, any unclaimed items will be donated or absorbed into our inventory.

  • Yes, The Loop does not keep a ledger of trade credit. If you are unable to redeem your trade credit the same day as your selling appointment, you will be cashed out for the remaining balance.

  • The Loop believes secondhand shops should be a resource for the community and accepts donations across certain categories. We are currently welcoming book donations.
